My wife and I have lived in Glenview for 15 years. We have four amazing children, the two younger ones are still at Glenview School. I am on my third term in the board and currently serve as chair. I am employed at the University of Waikato where I am Director of the Cooperative Education Unit. I also teach in the area of professional development and reflective practice for science and engineering, and conduct research in work-integrated learning. Our family is also involved with a range of other Glenview community groups such as Glenview Soccer Club and the Hamilton South Baptist Church.
My husband and I have lived together in Glenview for the past 17 years. My husband and his siblings actually attended Glenview as children, and have lived here for the past 35+ years.
Our son is currently in year 5 at Glenview, and our 4-year-old daughter will attend Glenview in just over a year’s time.
For the past 5+ years I have been working as Financial Administrator for the Philips Search & Rescue Trust, who own and operate the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter and 4 others in the central north Island.
This is my first term on the Board, which I have found very interesting. I feel proud to be part of the Board, and believe the renovations and refurbishments that we have undertaken are helping to set up Glenview School as a leader in collaborative teaching in our region.
